I have a modified Jeep that I use. Some of the tech would be too expensive for me to buy if only the hardcore offroaders bought the parts. Having overlanders and mall posers buy stuff lowers the price and expands the marketplace. Poser vehicles eventually get used by the second or third owner.
I typically work on my Jeep or Truck. The spare tires are big enough to help. Jeep spare is easy to access. I have two sets of tires for the truck (Winter and heavy duty). Tires are easy to grab. When I had a passenger car I would throw the removed tire underneath the vehicle.
I test drove an early build 2012 model in 2011. It had trouble leaving the dealer lot with 30 miles on the odometer. Bought a Honda Civic for the commute. Gave the Honda to a family member. Still reliable as day one.

The cinder block he was using was wrong type of jack stand and it was facing the wrong way to carry a load.

Most current SUV’s are built on car chassis. Manufacturer way of charging more money for the same product. Minivans are usually built safer than SUV's. Minivans are more comfortable than many SUV's. Unless you are buying an SUV with a frame ( 4runner, Wrangler, Escalade ) you should window shop a minivan.
The company publicly announced they have under one year to turn it around. Normal fender benders already take months of waiting on parts. Why would anyone buy a Tesla? I'm thankful they pushed competition in the right direction.
