I have told my wife to destroy the rim if necessary to reach a safe spot for tire swap out. Mostly applies to finding a safe spot to park to avoid collision. Rim/tire is easy to replace.

2017 and up have optional sunroof. We deleted the sunroof for more headroom. I never used the sunroof in the older car. Great vehicle. Typically rated in the top 10 of all vehicles for reliability.

I said something similar once. Cruise ships are nothing like a US Navy ship. I do recommend having an outside Veranda (deck). Pick a cruise that fits your needs. Transatlantic, Bahamas, Panama Canal, River cruise, Disney Cruise. It’s entertaining to see people wearing sea sickness patches on very calm water.

Where I live, only original equipment doors qualify for road use. Technically tube doors are not legal for road use. Cops can use this excuse to pull one over.

I prefer the rear mounted spare. However, wife dislikes the added weight for rear cargo entry. Rear visibility is a push. I prefer side mirrors, wife prefers rear view mirror.

Agree with XJ Cherokee. Lots of spare parts. Can be purchased with Awd. 4wd easier to find. Go with 1991 or newer.

I have also rented some the highlighted tools. Definitely easier on the bank account. Also tilts the scales in favor of DIY. Otherwise buying expensive tools for one time use then storing it makes no sense.

I looked at a new Escalade about a year ago. Cheap plastic for miles. Could not figure out how it was worth $90k. The small rear infotainment screens were low resolution. Had a Cadillac rental car recently. At $60k, I was whelmed. Meh.
