I don’t watch sports except maybe tennis, but tennis does seem to be an outlier in this regard. It’s segregated by gender, but the Grand Slams have male and female matches simultaneously, prize money is equal, viewership is equal, and male and female players are able to achieve a similar degree of “stardom” (see…
I fucking aced the shit out of that fucking quiz. I’ll be expecting my Certified Porsche Expert Certificate in the mail.
If anyone skipped the BBC interview link listed above, it’s a much more interesting and informative read than this post. It has extensive quotes from Amati on her own F1 experience with sexism, her perspective of other female racers’ careers, and how she’d like to see F1 evolve (including support for an all-female F1…
Sounds like he proved his own point. How ironic.
Jack Baruth, is that you?
For my E46 it was the lock. Actually it wasn’t even the lock actuator, it was the secondary computer behind the glovebox that controls the lock actuator.
Could you remove one of the door cards and take a picture of the inside of the door? I’d like to know how easy it will be for me to fix the window regulator in 15 years.
Inside-and-out best-looking modern sedan ever made? I think so.
They need to fire whoever is pushing their sick join-the-kidneys agenda. It’s unnatural, and it’s throwing away one of the strongest, most consistent, most recognizable design elements in the automotive world.
When talking about a mainstream auto manufacturer, efficiency means leveraging the scale of your manufacturing resources. It’s understandable for MB to not want to build a brand new factory for electric cars. That said, couldn’t they have put at least a little frunk in there? The electric drivetrain is still smaller…

I can’t say about the Leaf because I haven’t driven one, but it’s a small Nissan, not a luxury car, so I wouldn’t expect it to be a luxury missile. The Volt was (and still is) an plug-in hybrid, and the gas engine powered the battery, not the wheels directly. Early steps in technology are always a compromise, and some…
Fair enough, I did forget about that one. But a plug-in hybrid is pretty tame compared to the rest of the field. The e-tron moniker still has very little to show after 10 years.
Audi has been flaunting “e-tron” vaporware since 2009 while putting nothing into production. In the meantime the Leaf and Volt are in their second generation, Chevy added the all-electric Bolt, Tesla has a full model range, and BMW has 2 production models in their “i” range. After 10 years of hoopla, that e-tron SUV…
The current Boxster has 300hp, the Boxster S has 350. I’d say it’s right on point, with room to get up in the 400's if they decide to do an M version.
That’s a big fat load of baloney, Matt Clarke and Justin Westbrook.
A clean e28 M5 would bring that money, and this car is such a unique proposition, and really well-built with all the right parts. Personally I also like the shape and interior of the e12 a lot more, so I was drooling hard over this one.
