Wow, I’m in the same boat! I bought an e30 5 years ago and I’m not letting go of it. I also ended up driving halfway across the country to bring back a decent e36 Estoril M3/4/5. The E36 can’t go any lower, but it can’t surpass the golden-boy e46 either. It seems to me that those two will probably move in tandem.

It’s a pretty good time to buy. E36's will probably never shoot up like E30's did, and there’s a few sellers out there who really want that to happen. But for the most part prices are reasonable.
