Doing some W140 research for no reason in particular, and noticed that some of the early cars had what looked like 2 additional antenna caps at the rear. They come out when you engage reverse gears, and were meant to be visual guides to make it easier to see the corners of the big Merc. They were only around for a…
It’s super rare when an old concept car is listed for sale, and even more rare on craigslist! It’s not street-legal, but I wonder how hard it would be to make it street-legal - seems like it’s just an f150 with a stock drivetrain underneath.
I’ve always been curious about these two: the Alfa GTV and the Fiat Coupe. And now they’re approaching eligibility for the 25-year rule for importing into America. If y’all have any experience with these, I’d love your opinions!
Look, I’m a real blogger! With a clickbaity title and everything! Ok, fine, it’s a door pocket. Now you know.
From today’s episode of the Grand Tour. Brilliant. Heavy old-school Transporter vibes. Not pictured: fire-spitting drone chasing him. Bonus flying pic of James’s S600:
... I like it ... uuggh, why do I like it?!
...Just for fun. I’m not trying to say anything about the production Supra, though I bet it’s a design that looks better in person.
Just saw my first one in person, and it really turned my head. It doesn’t come across as a re-skinned Camry, something the ES has been guilty of in the past. Even the grille is kind of okay - the vertical stripes on the non-sport model make the grille appear less like a gaping maw, and more like a sculptural graphic…
Fun show, fun cars!
Be there! Be square! Be square while you’re there! Be a hexagon! Be any shape!
Got up nice and early for a run of High Point/Hawk’s Nest. Most of you Tri-State oppos probably already know or have been there, it’s a great ride. Super foggy in the morning, clearing out to a nice sunny day. The farm roads leading up to it are fantastic as well.
Finally scored an OEM roof rack for Estoril. For the uninitiated, the E36 has a very peculiar mounting system, for which they made a couple OEM racks, almost no other companies utilized. A Thule or Yakima rack for E36 “fitment” just uses clamps. Well, that won’t do. Finally found one and installed it. I’m really happy…
Caught a glimpse of some interesting wheels on an e36 in RCR’s Hard Park video. Does anyone know what they are? I think they’re pretty neat, like BBS RK’s with an extra star in the middle.
I completely forgot this beauty existed, until the most recent Petrolicious video. It seems to get overshadowed by the XJ220 as the go-to Jaguar supercar, but it’s just as interesting, if not more. It looks much more slender than the 220, even though it houses a big V12 rather than the 220's V6. It was essentially the…
For anyone who doesn’t already know, this website exists. And it looks like they revamped with bigger pictures and a nice filtering system, too!
And now I have to swap to winter tires on a snowy driveway. Womp womp.
