I apparently need to revisit Shadow Recruit after seeing it so high on the list.

My thought — in line with your last two points — is that Sharon was following them and shot Selby to protect them. I don’t know that she would have needed to bug the room as much as there’s just “comic book tech” that she could have been listening in (For a real world example:

I’ve researched more. The way the NYP article was presented, it seemed she was participating in an interview and knew what was going on.

I wonder if Sharon killed Selby. I figure she’s not working for the Power Broker, but I’m curious where her loyalties lie now.

Legit question: is it accurate to say that the New York Post outed the frontline worker when she participated in an interview about her online work?

Congratulations. You managed to hijack the majority of this comment section with a (weird ass) discussion that has nothing to do with the actual issues presented in the article. Well done.

This looks like the same work as the CinemaPalettes twitter account. I’m assuming they are one in the same person; if so, their Twitter account has been ... out of wack lately.

Text to pager system, right?

And why not give Tripathi more of a personality than just, “Oh right, Kal Penn is on this show”? I’m glad my man is getting paid, but give him something to work with already.

whole storyline didn’t need to happen

I don’t think it is a TON better, but I never interpreted the Ultron moment the same way critics of the movie did.

I .... liked it? But I’m not tied to it needing to be rooted in the Hannibal of it all, so there’s that. Breeds is doing a pretty good Foster impression (and whomever questioned the accent down-comments ... I thought it was spot on from the movie, and not a horrible WV accent (Though it sounds a lot like Wrenn

I started the book on Monday, and then a book a pre-ordered at Amazon showed up on my Kindle showed up on Tuesday, and used that as an excuse to put The Stand down, thankfully.

IIRC, they were largely finished with filming before the shutdown, but apparently whatever was outstanding tripped them up.

Here, The Stand is taking a pretty explicit stance on society, suggesting that it will always inevitably become violent.

I am so incredibly here for this series.

It was supposed to be played for laughs. I’ll take that over Flagg dancing any day.

Listen, I hate this adaptation, but I disagree that it has been completely absent of “good things.”

It’s definitely a more faithful adaptation, and — considering it was a broadcast mini-series in the 90s — fairly well made.

I watched it last weekend. I almost wish I hadn’t, because it just a mirror for how badly this is being adapated.
