One person’s tourist trap is another person’s enjoyable destination. I see that MoNA in Tasmania is listed as the #8 international tourist trap, but thought it was one of my favorite things that I did in Australia. I is expensive, and lots of people seem to be offended by, or otherwise don’t get some of the art on

Agreed that it’s by no means the best pizza in Colorado.  That said, the whole point of this pizza is to give people something to eat on their way home to Denver after a day of skiing. For the longest time, their Idaho Springs restaurant was one of the best of relatively few options on the drive back, although now

Um, why not just leave the bags at the hotel when you check out? Probably no less secure than LuggageHero, and it costs nothing except for the tip to the person who handles the bags.

Not a fan of conventional electric stoves, but I’ve recently become a fan of induction cooktops. We have a single “burner” countertop one and it works great. We even put it on top of the gas stove when we use it, to make use of that space. We rarely use the gas stove anymore.

Actually, that’s not definitive. See https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0335266/trivia?tab=tr&item=tr0770914 for some other interpretations.

How did Indy ride the submarine to the Nazi base in Raiders?

The Wynkoop Brewery in Denver (John Hickenlooper’s old brewery) periodically makes a beer with Rocky Mountain oysters. I can’t say I could ever taste them in the beer, but definitely not vegan.

Pandemic purchase that I absolutely do not regret: an e-bike. I’ve gone from never using my conventional bike, to using my e-bike almost every day and probably cutting the number of times I use my car almost in half.

In addition to Hawke, the cast in Almeydra’s Hamlet is great: Bill Murray, Kyle MacLachlan, Sam Shepard, Julia Styles, Liev Schreiber.

While I wouldn’t recommend it, I’d like to mention Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Undead. Shakespeare with vampires. Unfortunately, the title is the cleverest thing about it.

Colorado’s official app is called myColorado.

While Australia is undoubtedly a wonderful place to visit, and low risk, you should note that if you are not Australian, it is not possible for you to currently enter Australia (with some rare exceptions), and likely will not be possible until sometime next year. Even if you are Australian and living abroad, it will

Gotta buy a Blu-Ray from the Criterion Collection. It’s a good print.

Any such list without David Cronenberg’s Crash is immediately suspect.

Does it work for other scenarios where FaceID is used? For example, when using Apple Pay? Or for apps that can use FaceID instead of a password?

How about “Best for iPad Pro (2020)“? Preferably, one that contains a headphone jack. I tried the Satechi, but the volume on the audio from the hub’s headphone jack could not be controlled by the volume controls on the iPad or the headphones.

Stanley Tucci is great, but his Negroni isn’t:

One of Boulder Beer’s biggest problems is that the craft brewing scene passed them by long ago. There’s a lot better and more interesting craft beers available now in Boulder (and in the other places where they sell).

Forthrightness like that is why I voted for him twice as governor, and why I hope to vote for him again ... for the Senate, once he gives up this silly presidential campaign.

The Publican is great, but I’ve been able to get same-day reservations both times I’ve eaten there.
