It’s amazing how the biggest sport in the planet needs to change so as to attract americans who are clueless about it. Everybody else must get fucked apparently.

It isn’t confusing to the players. It is clear to the players that they need to stay behind the last defender to the goal while on the opponent’s side of the pitch. Everyone who plays above the age of 8 knows this if they play an organized game.

The game isn’t lacking in entertainment, viewers, or revenue. There is zero need to change the game, including the offsides rule.

This is just a bunch of sour grapes by some people that can’t stand US not winning, for once. Would they have bitched about “boring tactics” if the US team would have won a gold using the same strategy? Of course not...
