2nd: I don’t understand why plug in hybrids aren’t widely accepted as the best option. All the electric range we really need, and none of the anxiety. And really good mpg when using the ICE. And they’re relatively cheap. Only 2 hours to recharge with a 240 outlet, so it’s probably 6-8 hours using the regular household…

We need a universal “my bad” for driving mistakes. None of us is perfect, and if we owned our own faults, we’d mitigate some of that rage.

PHEV’s get you the range and refuelling rate of gas vehicles, with the city/commuting mileage of an electric vehicle. How is that “worst of both worlds”? I’d much sooner consider a PHEV than a full electric or non-plugin hybrid.
