We do not think about it in the US, but many markets where the RR is sold, wading depth comes into play more often than you would think. The country roads in the UK are known for flooding. Cross streams in the UK is much more common than the US. Same with S Africa and Australia.

It pains me to see Land Rover basically pass the torch to Jeep. I know we haven't seen the new Defender and the next Jeep could be a let down, but if Jeep were to put this out in its current form I would be hard pressed to not consider one over my beloved Land Rovers.

What do you consider old? I split my Daily Driving behind the wheel of either a 96 Land Rover Discovery and a 95 Land Rover Defender. In the warmer months I drive the Defender nearly everyday. If I don't drive the both of them often, they tend to revolt by breaking faster.
