I agree with your main criticism/caution. Personal experience is not a scientific way of approaching many things. This person's experience is valid and valuable, but only as a part of the discussion.

I was talking about the "The Far Cry 2 Question: " bit in the article above. It's that bit of text half way down to the right with the grey background that stands alone. I didn't know what to call it.

Apart from the fact that you seem to imply it's a PC-only problem (all PS and Xbox designs have that same design immaturity), I agree with you.

Really? I've almost always turned music off for the very reason that I don't like most game music. I've never thought, "Man I need some sweet music to this game". Maybe you should just be happy that you've gone this long before a game developer has put a record on you don't like.

I see it as Kama for hijacking the meaning of the word "Friend".

I agree with Randi Zuckerberg's general point.

You didn't have to explain it to me dude, I knew where you were coming from. Happy Holidays.

Not entirely true, but funny answer. +1

SO do I need to worry about the local climate and conditions of where I hang the meat?

The RPS article got too long for me. I read enough. The guy was saying interesting stuff, and may have intended all that, but it was lost on me, because it wasn't obviously subversive enough from the get-go after starting the game. Pretty much as soon as I started the game I got bored with cut-out game

Drama queen.

" a meaningless string of obvious generalizations"

They will make a game for us one day. :)

While I am looking forward to this reboot (Superman returns was too cartoony for me), I actually understand where you're coming from.

I like a game to be difficult, but there are different ways of being difficult. Some forms of difficulty are entirely unappealing to me.

But is that really how you like to play games? To to take 5 times to work out how to complete a contrived, rubber banded, narrowly scripted sequence?

The point I see developing in people who are having issues with Far Cry 3 is that they are noticing flaws of equal impact as totally different flaws those that many people found with FC2.
