Definitely go for it! As someone who was mostly self taught as a comic book writer and artist, I would recommend starting small at the onset. It's far less overwhelming to tell a short story in your world than slog into the grand narrative immediately.

What are your books?

Why thank you! I’ve been doing a series of interviews covering CARVER as we approach the pre order cut off this Thursday. The latest one is from Comics Crusaders. Gives you a feel and it also has my mentor Paul Pope’s variant cover with the article:

Working on my creator owned comic book CARVER for Z2. The first issue doesn’t come out til Nov 11th, so I’m working on other issues. This is the cover art for issue 2.

Totally agree. It also makes sense from a storytelling point of view as well as why AMC would greenlight another WD show. There would be no point in telling the exact same kind of story just with different characters. You’ve got to have a different set up for the other show. Also something that I haven’t come across

I cringed when Travis said, “You know how I feel about guns.” He’s going to be the guy we thought we liked at the beginning, but evolves into an insufferable blob of dead weight.

I’m calling it now.

By the end of this episode I was totally thinking World War Z the book. An interesting juxtaposition to the original show would be to show how a concentrated military presence in a fortified city could survive on the West Coast, kind of like how they implement the plan to hold everything west of The Rockies, before

Hahahaha

I think I even recall Abrams at one point in an interview saying that since he’d never get the chance to make a STAR WARS movie, 09 ST was the closest he could get. I can’t find the quote but I remember it PISSED off a lot of Trek fans who already had contention with his interpretation.

That’s fair. I definitely agree that no amount of “story design” i.e. what is purported in the ring theory essay, can make up for the distinct lack of story that makes up the prequels. For the record I still can’t bring myself to watch the prequels and I’m not saying that Lucas is a straight up genius. I am saying

You responded to a post by expressing a contrary opinion, with zero substance or corporeal points. How exactly would you expect a person to respond to that out of curiosity?

Yes. That would be why I referenced it in my original comment. Did you want to talk about it or were you content to just remain a condescending stranger of little consequence?

I won’t speak for anyone else but I literally said “the prequels do ultimately disappoint”. My point is that on the grander scale, I admire the overall construction of the narrative between both trilogies.

Cool. I’m glad you could get that off your chest.

Agreed. It is a pretty good primer though I think for the essay. Also agree that though the prequels do ultimately disappoint, it made me see both trilogies more as some crazy magnificent troll on George Lucas’ part.

My grandpa has that shit on LOCK DOWN hahaha

If you have a couple hours and want to make your head hurt, and question your feelings towards the prequels...read the ring cycle essay. Mentions a lot of the mirroring in the shot composition amongst a multitude of other elements.

I’ll have to try one of the others you mentioned. I won’t lie, I definitely have a lot of Apple stuff, but I’m not an early adapter. I have yet to buy a tablet from any brand, though I have come close a couple times, with several different manufacturers. I dislike the cult of personality that has sprung up around

I’d heard before that most of Wacom’s tech is in the stylus, whether that’s the high end usb tablet’s (Intuous) or the full monitor Cintiq. I guess really I’m more curious about how the pencil works, if it is in fact something that can eclipse Wacom tech working in conjunction with what Apple has set up with their
