That was my thought. Security issues aside, I have two cats, and I would not trust the delivery person to be careful about not letting them out.

Just a quick thanks for organizing this by streaming service. So often when I see a good recommendation, my next step is a search for where I can watch it, and that can be frustrating.

BTW I grew up on frequent reruns of the 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers so my standards for a remake were high. I agree that the

  • Do you ever clean your oven? No. I bought a self-cleaning oven several years ago. But the instructions made it sound like far more trouble than it is worth, and I have chickened out of using it. But the instructions also made me worry about manually cleaning it - like maybe I’d wreck it somehow. Maybe I should re-read

Non-cash income is subject to income tax. The amounts are so small that a 1099 is not required. But, technically, the recipient should be reporting it unless they can find an explicit exemption in the tax code.

We must live in the same neighborhood. OnTrac is the absolute worst. I have the same experiences with them. Fortunately Vitacost and Amazon (who both use them for my area) are good to work with. I’ve begged them to stop using OnTrac, but I guess the math works out better to keep replacing orders that aren’t delivered.

Fedex often leaves packages on the sidewalk next to my house, not even on my property.

Funny how these things vary by region. For me, I never had any delivery issues with UPS, Fed Ex, or USPS. But On Trac? Oh brother. They have lied constantly on delivery records. I’ve complained to Amazon often enough (and directly to OnTrac) that it’s improved somewhat, but they still stealth deliver so that even if I

Yeah. I just activate Netflix during the summer. I catch up on stuff like House of Cards. But honestly I only really liked the first two seasons and next season looks like a train wreck. So Netflix will need to up their game with regard to content to entice me back next year.

I don’t get crashes either. The commercial interruptions are fewer and shorter than OTA TV. I’m happy at the basic price point.

Baby boomer here who subscribed to a newspaper my entire life and even I stopped doing that about 10 years ago. So, yeah, that was my first thought, too. Probably a multi-generational problem these days.

I’m pretty sure the soy granules were something like this:

Exactly. My daughter, (now ex) son-in-law, and grandson all have cell phones. No land line. Chatting for a couple of minutes with whomever answers the phone is a thing of the past. One I miss.

Seems about right to me.

Agree. Just posted something similar.

I starred the article based on the headline alone.

I have a huge shelf in my pantry full of condiments - Worcester, liquid smoke, Kitchen Bouquet, etc. and every ethnicity of hot sauce with variations within - plus different kinds of oils, vinegars, etc.

My thoughts exactly. It is inaccurate to say they bailed on the wedding. They weren’t invited to the wedding. They were invited to a huge party at a park - an event divorced (so to speak) by months from the wedding. In fact, I wonder if this was a reception only in the LW’s mind. Should they have kept their

I have that one. And even though I’m not feeding a family anymore; and when I did, I probably only prepared a couple of the recipes from it; and my tastes now run to more plant-based, it’s still fun to page through it now and then.

Arbitration clauses are very common. They are also despicable, because they only benefit the corporation imposing them.

I happen to have one in transit, too.
