Applesauce, or pureed prunes (esp for chocolate)
That’s a good question. I only do it a few times a year for the last couple of years so experience is slim and memory is poor. With cornstarch, I generally measure it out to mix it with water. With the rice flour, I can just sprinkle it in dry until it reaches the thickness I like. So point being that I haven’t…
Thanks. Exactly what I thought, but wanted to confirm.
Or showed up at all. Our local company uses contractors who just blow off appointments. ( I cut the cord a couple of years ago, so no longer have to deal with that crap.)
I’m a good tipper for delivery - $4 - 5 on a $15 dollar order. So Cal no weather issues. My question for you: I pay for the order on line, but I leave the tip as cash, so I don’t indicate a $. From your perspective, would I be better off paying the tip with the order?
Oh, hello. I was expecting you. I even baked a cake, but never mind. :)
I try to cook with as little added fat as possible. So, if I can avoid making a roux, all the better. A few years ago, I was introduced to rice flour. Sprinkle it into the hot liquid. Smooth as silk, no lumps.
Being just a blip means my mistakes aren’t the end of the world.
Great post. And welcome - I guess we’re sort of neighbors now. (Burbank)
So it sounds like the writer has Mondays off, if I’m reading the article correctly. For those of us with a corporate M - F schedule, this would be more like a Sunday review to get a head start on the week.
“averse”
Really nice article, Kristen. What strikes me is that despite your natural temperament - shy, introverted, and conflict-adverse, by your own accounts - you became a writer. Writing, by itself can be terrifying as it is so self-revelatory. And a writer on the Web, no less. Now, there’s a display of courage that is…
I thought this sounded like a great idea. I’m not sure I read a lot of stuff that would need it, but I was excited to see what novels they have.
Nonetheless, you must go.
I came to also say something similar. The results are not binary. I’ve taken it several times, but once in a professional setting. The results (which are consistent for me no matter how many times I take it) were presented on a continuum to provide more context.
I have cats. One with a sensitive stomach. Guess which end of the spectrum I fall on? :) Seriously, I think that’s why there is such a long continuum.
I live in an area with really hard water. I use a commercial dishwasher cleaner (Finish, Cascade, and others make them). Otherwise, the hard water deposits will destroy the machine within a couple of years. As someone else posted, you could use vinegar (especially if your water isn’t as hard). And now and then you…
Not that I could see. Most, if not all, of the comments acknowledge that the hotel will store the luggage. The complaints are what a huge PITA that would be - or impossible depending on the reason for the trip and the flexibility of the schedule.
Haha. Yeah that would definitely work. But more expensive keeping someone on payroll like that. :)
Yeah, I stopped drinking 3 years later, so when I had the drinking dreams, I knew it was a good thing.
