Letting everyone in the world be horribly killed by monsters rather than kill someone who will be killed no matter what happens is childish, yes.

I hated everything about that movie. From the usual awful whedon dialogue to the proudly childish ending.
James earl jones played a truman analogue in the revival of gore vidal's best man a few years ago. The play is avery period specific political drama but it worked very well.
This was always the problem with making miles morales the new spider-man in the comics. Marvel should have learned from dc the problems with giving a new character the title of a long established older character. Things always revert to what people think of as the "real" version of the character. They should have…
I agree. The brienne adventures were some of my favorite parts of any of the books. That plus cersei's battle with the church and a welcome lack of daenarys and bran make it a much better book than i was expecting given its reputation.
It's too soon to tell but i think i might agree with you. Some things seemed very off about this episode.
Ha i have the exact opposite opinion. The dorne stuff in the books were awful but the kingsmoot etc was fun.
Well yeah it was already well into its decline by season 10, but still watchable. The past 15 seasons haven't been.
The simpsons stayed around far too long. When they announced fxx would be getting all the simpsons episodes i was excited. It would be nice towatch simpsons reruns again. Unfortunately every time i think to do that, it's some garbage from season 10 on. I don't want to hunt around for when good episodes will be airing…
Isnt a mishmash of races very appropriate for the roman empire in the first century?
Jake was never cool. I agree with your other points though.
Maybe at first? I could see fans liking him for not being wesley, at least after his one appearance. It was the later episodes with alexander that were really terrible.
The only real drop in quality is a result of the fact that he split the characters up in the last two books. I actually really liked the brienne, jaime, and cersei stuff in feast for crows. The problem with dance with dragons is that dany and bran have always been really dull, and tyrion seperated from anyone else…
That's interesting. I've never lived abroad, but i can see how that kind of formality would get old real quick.
It really depends on the accent. Australian accents are unbearable but so are some southern US ones. Scottish accents are nice but certain, i don't know, "low class" british accents are awful. Non native english speaking accents are usually not bad.
No, nbc is just that comically desperate.
I'd only be interested if they promised not to have any aliens or government conspiracies come up. It was a great monster of the week show, but the endless conspiracy stuff was just awful.
Yeah i was surprised by how not terrible it was when i finally saw it. Apparently they added a bunch of characters to the show as it went on, which sounds like death for a sitcom but i guess they pulled it off fairly well.
Especially considering he spent a year saying the show was awful. If he was right, why Would he want to write a series based on it. If he was wrong, why would he be chosen to write a series based on it?
Yeah the idea of inhumans as replacement mutants bothers me, but the real problem is the original inhuman characters themselves. Having your main guy unable to speak is a huge problem. Medusa is just boring, with a ridiculous power. None of the others have made any real impression on me at all.
