a teenage Vine star
a teenage Vine star
Ugh, this child. I taught in an all girls high school for two years and they LOVED this moron when I got there. I would make a joke when they'd show me a vine because teenagers hate to be told their taste is terrible, so I thought I'd lead by example. I'm so happy to say when I left that school there wasn't one girl…
quick, what are a few titles worse than "teenage Vine star"
Let's just all remember to take Rita Skeeter with a grain of salt. She is known for writing things that aren't necessarily true. Everyone is posting that Ron is balding now; when I read that, in my mind I imagined him constantly asking Hermione if it's true, while unconsciously touching his head. Also, there is NO WAY…
You understand that while he's only been Pope for around a year, he's a career priest and bishop at the very highest levels? This isn't an intern starting his first year that got picked to be CEO - this is someone that had very much power for many years prior to this.
Others have already replied but I would echo most of their sentiments.
How long should it take for a guy whose job is to speak for god and be infallible to fix a broken system? Hmmmm, how about long enough to declare that anyone who abuses is fucking excommunicated, and all records they have of their abuses will be turned over to the relevant authorities.
That the Catholic Church turn in priests suspected of child sexual abuse. Priests aren't above the law.
LOL "sorry it isn't going as quickly as you'd like." Totally, dude. Why aren't people cutting the pope and the church more slack for abusing a staggering amount of children and exploiting the church's wealth, power, and ancient deeply ingrained religious authority to cover it up? Definitely unfair. Sexually abusing…
Except better PR. But yeah, this is the same shit as before.
Benedict also met with victims several times. Nothing new here.
O_o
Nothing that is as bad as systematic child rape, I can assure you.
Well, not the systemic covering up of the sexual assault of children, no.
Jesus.... our pope standards are SO LOW if everyone is flipping their shit because this guy is APOLOGIZING for systematically defending child rapists for decades (probably much longer).
The people who just "can't help themselves" and start raping at the slightest temptation are exactly the people that need to be locked up. They are clearly a danger to others.
I also find this depressingly, yet hilariously, misandist (miisandristic?), given that it is often spouted by men. Dudes: do you even hear what are you SAYING about menfolk when you say this shit?? That you're all just a few "right conditions" away from being rapists? I know a shit ton of rape survivors who have a…
He's not a classic rapist because not enough of his kind are prosecuted and convicted to make it a classic. In fact, there is nothing more classic than being raped while drunk. It's practically the salt and vinegar chips of rape.
"She was a pretty girl who you fancied. You simply could not resist. You had sex with her."
she was drunk, she was asleep and she didn't give consent. He saw something he wanted and he took it. If if had been the judge's wallet, would the judge have patted him on the head and told him 'it's alright, you fancied my wallet, there's no theft here'
