It honestly looks like they took off the front bumper cover and wrapped some pieces front fenders around the front. It is the ugliest fucking Camaro I've ever seen.
You have to admit the Avista looks like a better tie in to the majority of Camaros built after 1970, the second generation. The retro 1967-69 Camaro look is now tired and not very modern looking.
I liked the dark blue 89 Grand Prix I used to have.
My 1976 Cobra II V8 when I first got it in 1980. I frequently have reoccurring dreams about it.
It becomes a midget lesbian couple’s mode of moving in with each other...
The original concept vehicle name of the Flex was called Fairlane. It was purposely touted as a “people mover” to replace traditional minivans (Windstar/Freestar) and station wagons. Taurus wagon production ended after the 2007 model year replaced by the Freestyle later renamed Taurus X. Flex ended up serving as the…
It shared a three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel too...
And nevermind the fact that the two door luxury coupe market shrank in favor of four door sedans and SUVs because so many people do not care if a vehicle has more than two-doors and rather prefer four doors. No revival is going to restore personal luxury coupe sales to the levels they enjoyed in the 1970s and 80s.
Used Lincoln MKTs, MKXs and Navigators.
It's really not that complicated that a platform optimized for the Mustang can be dumbed down for Explorer duty. Platform sharing is mostly shared componants and not always literally the same floorpan and chassis with a different top hat.

It's a real modified car. That thing has been floating around the internet a long time.
That was a major complaint by the public back in those days.
Edsel wagons had to use the same wagon bodies as Ford and Mercury so they came up with interesting ways to try to trick the public into thinking they were unique body panels.
Corvair was a 1954 Motorama concept car based on the Corvette. The name was derived as a contraction of “Corvette” and “Bel Air”. The name had nothing to do with the production Corvair being an air-cooled car. It was just one of many old Motorama names used for production
The enlargement of the hatch on the 1977 Gremlin turned 1979 Spirit sedan was a barely noticable improvement. Visually the rear body panel looks the same height. All they really did was reshape the taillamps and move the license plate to cover the fuel filler which was immovable. If they gained an inch or two with a…
The Pinto even had one of the best liftover heights for a hatchback sedan. The wagon was even better, all the way down to the top of the rear bumper. Vega wagon was similar.

Here’s how I see it. The Type 1 was a grossly inefficent design because of it’s body shape and packaging. VW made things better by introducing the Type 3 and Type 4 in larger body styles that increased passenger and luggage space and ingress/egress. Ultimately packaging of the new mid-70s VWs in the form of…
This is interesting for me to comment on. When I was very young, I liked riding in the Fords both my aunts owned. One aunt was handed down my Grandmother’s dark blue 1966 Falcon Futura 4-door My other aunt drove a baby blue 1967 Galaxie 500 XL hardtop coupe. My father had a lime green metallic 1967 Mustang hardtop.…
