Personally my favorite grille was the 1961 Continental inspired chrome eggcrate grille pattern of the first MKX.

The MKC will follow. I read an article elsewhere stating that Lincoln did not want to overwhelm by changing every vehicle and introducing all new names at the same time. They wanted to give each new marque a chance to shine with individual attention for a short while.

I’m a little perplexed since the MKX was originally scheduled to be the Aviator until the last minute name change. It was even shown to the press initially with Aviator name badges. So it’s weird to me MKX does not get its oroginal name back... Unless they wanted to keep the Aviator name aligned with the Explorer…

Most 1958 cars ended up being 1957 cars restyled to include newly legalized separate hi and lo beam four round headlights. An overabundence of chrome trim and and fussy detailing made these cars ugly and angry looking.
