Given that his unrelated ideas have always been good...

I had almost forgotten the end of Feast (a book I voraciously devoured over a winter break while holed up on campus) ended with me feeling massive disappointment that was only alleviated by that last page explaining “why the fun characters aren’t in this book”.

Yeah 15 year old punk in me is super conflicted in how much I want the law to come down hard on this prick.

Wait so once you get the item that’s it. You have a soft ban.

The person with whom I’m watching this asked me if Elizabeth Holmes is actually smart. I mean, she had to be, right?

A perfect example of “tell me you have self esteem issues without telling me you have self esteem issues”.

You know, it might be a lot more interesting if he was a helpful hacker. Like if he visited people and dropped off OP gear and a ton of gold. Imagine people complaining about this good person wandering around their dark game. That would be newsworthy.

It bothers me that this article is borderline glorifying someone who is ultimately nothing more than a gigantic asshole.

This is absolutely not how white hat hacking works.

“You’re the villain because you let me do this.  I’m doing this because I need to be stopped,” is some straight up super-villain shit.  Fuck this guy.

Yeah, but...it’s Stephen Fry. THE Stephen Fry. The guy is real-world famous and a great get for this show.

...and how long you’re willing to continue to be conned, rather than admitting a foolish mistake and moving on.

This is exactly the same problem that people had with the review of the first episode. I watched that episode, and while there are some attempts at being relatively sympathetic to Holmes, in no way is she portrayed as being “brilliant”--she’s obviously smart, but her first attempt at a medical device (one that she

This isn’t even the first time the AV Club has made it like “oh she started out so promising, she was brilliant and had great ideas” like maybe it was all bullshit from the get go? Sure seems that way. Why this site is determined to make everything seem like it started on the up and up before going bad is wild.

“Tyrion awoke shortly after dawn, had a bowel movement, and told the nubile serving girl (whose totally nude body glistened with morning dew) to bring him dark beer, blackened herring, and . . .” Hmm, “eel pie?” No, already did that one. “air-cured hagfish cakes . . .” No, that’s not it. “pickled cod smothered in mint

What I find sort of annoying is that he routinely HIMSELF mentions the damn book in these missives he releases. And then acts oh so put upon. Dude, if you stfu about it you would get SO much less shit.

I mean, I do in fact regret that the bit of Westeros Martin is clearly the most interested in (the history of the Targaryen monarchy) is the bit I’m least interested in.

The events that ended the show were not the problem for most viewers. It was the careless lack of setting things up, the lack of connective tissue to make the big story beats feel logical and earned. It felt like someone reciting Cliff’s Notes that they read the other day and remember about 75% of.

Man who keeps telling people he’s going to complete something soon upset at people asking “well where is it”.

I am also worried that I might die before he finishes them.
