FWIW, it’s reversed in the UK, where ‘Asian’ as a generic term generally means Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi (which is over 70% of the Asian population) with the rest more often referred to as ‘East Asian.’ 

Who cares about the plot? It passes the Bechdel test! Background extras wear headscarves! What more do you need

Last time I reported Laserface for his constant harassment of people he doesn’t like here, I was told that the site admins would speak to him, and that I should not engage with him. I agreed that I would not.

To this American, it’s also really weird to see people on a show like this who are never plugging another product or talking about what they’re up to. So figuring some of these people out just through context makes it kind of fun as well.
