I was born in '89, and up until 97 the only gaming machine in the house was an NES my dad got as a gift. We used to play Punch-Out! together, trying to figure out the patterns on how to defeat the enemies. We swapped during Zelda, thinking of how to solve the puzzles. They didn't teach me values during the games but I

@No Star is the New Star: How is that so, I had to pay for all that stuff. It's not like I added extra controllers or said "You had to get the battery pack." It was a fair enough, essentials list on matching what the Playstation had to offer specs wise. I didn't add the fact that the PS3 has Blu-ray either, it was

Is it just me or does anybody else think about pregnancy every single time they hear the name of this device?

@Adhominem: Not to downplay the Wii Sales because they're enormous, the console cost $250 to the Playstation 3's $500, so in that time frame if you were to make it so that "two Wii sales equal one PS3 sale" wouldn't it be a bit closer?

@Helba: Yes they do, you just can't copy anything on or off of them. I frequently load up TV shows on a USB stick and plug it in.

People can say the Xbox is cheaper, but it isn't. It ended up costing more than my $500 PS3.

Kojima wouldn't be that pleased that they're upping 25GB discs to 33.4 considering many companies have been releasing movies on 50GB discs for over two years now. (The Dark Knight, Watchmen, virtually any big movie release.) Is there something wrong with games being on dual layer discs?

@Archaotic: That's funny because a friend of mine has logged in over 200 hours. It's relaxing for him to become immersed in the world and just "drive around".

The day I got GTAIV I played it for around 11 hours straight without realizing the time went by. I have a habit of just playing a game from beginning to end despite it's length. 10 hours for the first Assassin's Creed as well.

Wow, $40 in Canada. Way to go with your pricing Microsoft. With the rate of exchange it should only be $22 max.

One of my favorite aspects of the game was Zimmer's score. Without knowing he did it I thought, "Wow, this really sounds like the Dark Knight". The raising boom in "No Russian" had me hooked, it felt like an action opera.

Now playing

I thought this was funnier (sorry for the quality and the tagging, this is the best Youtube had).

This is great, the cufflinks should be sold in stores. You only get married once (hopefully) best to make it as fun and memorable as possible. Congrats to these two!

COD: World At War. Just picked it up on boxing day for $30 and like that there are no scopes in the online. It can tell me to buy the map packs all it wants, the game can stick it.

@Shenta: The working title from Infinity Ward themselves for MW2 was COD: 6. Explain that.

For Christmas I got Gears of War boxers and pajama pants. I also have PS3 boxers. Needless to say, like these, I wouldn't wear them while dating. Though "Call of Duty" may have a certain ring to it.

Damn, those are some of the most realistic graphics I've ever seen. It's like when I saw Def Jam: Fight For NY for the first time on PS2.

Absolutely great work that's a pleasure to listen to and nostalgic at the same time. You could get away with playing some of these tracks as "true" orchestral music in the background. I've always wanted to hear the Zelda soundtrack reproduced like this, the fact that it's free makes me one happy guy.

They were selling The Game of the Year Edition for $29.99 at a few stores here. I guess for those who never bought the DLC it's a good deal but the discounted price of the game is even better.

That issue had some of the most interesting articles I've read in awhile. Took me about an hour and a half to go through them.
