Yeah, the trailer made it come off like it was playing everything 100% straight. Not a great call.

Honestly, the premise is pretty silly. When I saw the trailer in theatres I was pretty bewildered that both JGL and Michael Shannon were both involved.

"Shorty's Got the What What" coming back had me in hysterics. That should always pop up at least once a season.

I think the best summary of the Sue stuff this week is that everyone was like "but all of your character development over this entire series seems to imply that this doesn't make any sense at all." It's absolutely phony and killed the episode for me immediately.

This episode's primary plot reminded me of one of those essays I'd write in college where halfway through I'd realize that it's totally fucking stupid but I really have no choice but to keep going because there's only six hours until deadline, so all I can do is maybe throw in some dumb stuff to amuse myself in the…

I loved the hill people sketch in a weird "this is falling apart in front of my very eyes" way. There are a lot of bad SNL sketches, but not as many that just clearly, visibly dies a deat like that one did. I sort of imagine that was a sketch that wasn't really written for him and was probably unsuccessfully pitched…

I never would have predicted after watching the pilot that June would become my favorite character on the show, but tonight I've realized she has. Dreama Walker plays June's particular type of crazy (the "I'm the sane one, obviously I am, everyone *else* is crazy" type) with fantastic commitment. Her "if it's not…
