Buying a low-mileage well-maintained 1993 Corrado from the second owner and keeping it as such for the last 20 years. When I had to choose a couple years ago if I was going to put some work into it, I opted to go all in so I can keep it for another 20.

Confirmed. I’ve been driving a 2016 GTI for 4 years now, and it’s quite comfortable even with 3 kids in the back seat, in a combination of 5 point and booster seats.

I owned a MK2 8V 5spd, Corrado brakes, LSD and coilovers and that car was pure bliss; more power would have been ideal, but not have fundamentally changed my ability to throw its lightweight, rigid frame through any tight turn I could find.
