There are some really funny gags in the first few seasons that STILL crack me up. I apologize for not being enlightened, but hey, I'll take the laughs over intellectual security. Sometimes.

It's one of the only songs that still gives me chills *every* time I play it. I don't know where that puts it on any of my internal dumb lists, but it's gotta be near the top.

Once you give up on trying to logically justify the monster, the episode really does work. Doctor Who avoids giving consequences for the Doctor's behavior all too often, (and Sherlock does this as well), and so it's always an incredible thing to see the Doctor lost and confused at how horribly he misread a situation…

When he uses "evolutionary terms", it's more a euphemism than it is a biological argument. No significant evolution is being driven by the attractiveness of having a sense of humor, but social changes almost certainly are. I still think Hitchens' argument is pretty flawed, but it's much more nuanced and interesting…

Depends on what market share is needed for it to be considered a monopoly, but it could definitely be argued that it does.
