Robin is about to push him through the Moon Door

haha, no problem - I feel the same way

Thanks, but I do NOT have BPD, a family member of mine does, and believe me I understand where you're coming from. I wish I didn't!

I read more of your posts so I get it a little more. OK so first, BPD really makes you see things in black and white, and can elevate misperceptions - my sister has it and I've seen this with her. I think that since you're in therapy you're doing good work toward this. Consider DBT - it's been very helpful for BPD.

It's awesome that you're working on it. Honestly you seem like a nice person, and I hope things go well for you.

Being thought of as a creep would surely suck. My question to you is, are you acting like a creep? What if you are acting like a creep? Do women owe it to you, or them, to overlook it?

I haven't been seeing people say he didn't hate women, though. It's a given that he hated women. The argument is - what is it that pushed him (and could push these other guys) over the edge into acting on that violent impulse. At least that's what I've seen (and also how I feel, and I'm female and no stranger to

*shrug*. I'd rather be me, than someone with such tunnel vision that their arguments will be disregarded by anyone who chooses to use their brain.

Of course I get it, but you're way off track, and that's why people are telling you they don't want to talk about it. At least in this context. It's not that there are "other factors in the story" to talk about. It's that there are other factors that caused him to commit the act. We can talk about misogyny all day,

Maybe he lives in the south? Where I live it would be seen as weird and suspicious if he didn't.

I KNOW. It's bad enough that the gun nuts call for more mental illness attention and then vote against the funding, but now the feminists here are disregarding mental illness leading to violence too? COME ON. I am seriously livid.

YES. Thank GOD you posted.

Of course it's important, but is misogyny the reason for the violent act? Or is there something else? Why isn't this clear to people? I am completely outraged by this as well - I couldn't even speak of it for days - because I've been faced with "nice guys" who seemed violent and were hateful to me for not choosing

I know. My head is exploding from reading the replies to him.

It's not. It's a contributing factor. Misogyny leading to mass murder - what was it that caused the violence? Misogyny alone? No way.

You're being very patient to people who are so far off the mark it's incredible. Good job.

I'm working today (except for right now) - contractor, no holiday pay - I consider my job a desk job though I work from home, because I'm expected to use Microsuck Lync, which provides my availability status while I'm working. I work in a toxic environment that is soul crushing and am seriously considering leaving it

The chihuaua next door wants to kill me...slowly.

It doesn't have to be trained not to lash out if it's a mentally healthy dog. It's not their nature to attack humans. Squirrels are seen as prey; humans are not. And some even like squirrels.

I won't eat them for that reason
