Kimiko Glenn played her part to perfection. I know she was on earlier in the season I hope she remains a random infrequent side character in seasons to come. I also hope we see the return of Oliver at some point, he is amazing!

As a doctor myself who also has health issues the part where Mindy admitted she's an OB-GYN who helps her patients but doesn't know how to handle her own health really rang true to me. I can honestly say doctors make the worst patients, it's an interesting topic to touch on
This show continues to bring me joy every week. And Constance Wu is so perfect I can't even handle it anymore
The scenes between Tyson and Davis were masterclass acting. I really do wish the rest of the show could match up. Also the Rebecca twist was too easy to see coming from miles and episodes away. I hope whatever twist they have planned for the end of the season is a juicy one
That's been happening on the show since first season. I just got used to it
You're right there was dating at 13 even in the 90s but I remember it was rare and such a big deal whenever it happened. The kids who were dating still acted super shy around each other. I've seen thirteen-year-olds now make fun of each other for not having a girlfriend yet, which to me is so bizarre
To be fair they tried the South Asian-heavy show thing with Outsourced and it didn't do very well, so it may still take some time for a show with a majority of the cast being South Asian to really make it. But the tide of television diversity is definitely turning, so I'm sure it won't be that long. If East Asian…
I still remember what a revelation it was when a friend told me they sold condoms in the men's washroom at our local bowling alley. I had no idea what a condom was at that point and when I asked my friend he deflected the answer as if it was obvious and I should have known. In retrospect now I realize he probably had…
My family speaks a South Asian language that is only spoken in one specific province and so we use it all the time to discuss people around us with no fear of being understood. There was one time in the airport where the people next to us also spoke the same language and man did it throw me for a loop. Of course then…
Again this episode proved FOB is not just about the Asian American experience. Any kid who grew up in the 90s remembers how you learned about sex piece by piece and half of it came from random rumors your friends would tell you they overheard from some older kids. Nowadays thirteen-year-olds are all dating. It was a…
I'm not going to have time for this, black-ish AND Empire so I think I'll stick with FoB over black-ish for now. As a second generation South Asian both ethnicity family comedies are very relatable but there's something extra for FoB with the kids growing up in the 90s…..
Or both at the same time (which is what my sister is currently going through!)
I think it's fair to say that both Mindy and DANNY are terrible at relationships. So in a relationship together they remain pretty terrible. I think a lot of people hoped for those flaws they have to slowly disappear once they got together, it's kind of interesting that none of it has and yet they're still choosing to…
I was never truly sold on Annette until this episode
I've been down on this show a bit this season but there are always this sincere magical moments in the show, especially between Mindy and Danny. The ending in this episode with a XO was one of them. I had been thinking that song suited them and needed to be used in the show since last year so I was delighted. Also…
Since it's a man narrating maybe it's her yet-unborn son writing the story!!
And so in the end, Veep has become the hilarious truer-to-life version of House of Cards (with less assassinations)
With Tasha gone I think I'm not going to enjoy the end of this season. Kass and Spencer annoy me GREATLY, Tony is an adept player but I still resent how lucky he's been it would be more like a simple walk in the park. Woo and Trish would need to make some respectable strategic moves before the end for me to consider…
It was mile-a-minute but somehow still worked. And they used so many rom-com cliches and references but tweaked them slightly enough in that quirky Mindy way (I will never get over Mindy lying on the ground at the top of the ESB out of breath!) to make it fresh and funny :)
This is the only show I have ever watched that makes me bust my gut laughing at least once an episode because something is said that is SO DAMN RELATABLE AND TRUE that I am just shocked and so very highly amused. I literally have to pause to hold for laughter! That never happens on any other show and it's what always…
