I’m really confused about what the author is trying to communicate. It sorta seems like a circumspect defense of traditional masculinity/femininity, patriarchal domination and trapping oneself in a bad relationship because superficial physical and social qualities are precedent over anything else.

I suppose I ask this question with regularity, but I will ask again: Are the straights ok?

The sad thing about your comment is that it really could be anyone in Hollywood.

I posted on a different comment, but her wording was very problematic. Her full comment filled up saying if you’re going to be a snowflake about it, this is the price you pay. Whatever her intentions, taken out of context or not, she tripped herself up with two very poorly worded sentences.

This article did not include her Schoeller’s entire comment in Facebook. The following sentence (if you’re going to cry like a snowflake, this is the price you pay) along with that first sentence makes her statement hard to interpret. It makes it seem like she’s, not wore justifying the “good ol boys” actions, but at

How was her tone in any way opaque? No one uses “good ole boys club” in a positive way. I know enough women veterans to realize that you get desensitized to sexual harassment in the army. Not in a way that makes you unsympathetic to victims, but in a way where your tone is casual/defeated/empty when talking about that

Even if the patio required a permit, Mr. Hayat was under no obligation to show her his permit if he had one or discus permits with her if he didn’t.

Can you dismiss the utter dipshit who actually typed this with zero evidence or backup?

I’ll avoid replying to the impersonating harasser that showed up in this thread, but just letting you know that he’s now on your literary doorstep.

Maybe it really is time we stop giving white people who seek to weaponize the police against Black people cutesy little nicknames like “BBQ Becky” or “Central Park Karen.”

Salmon also die at the end from sheer exhaustion. Between his blackness and his Republicanism, something's gonna give.

And a fuckton of them die in the attempt. Pretty shitty comparison.

He’s trying to walk a line. He’s trying to be a black man and be a Republican at the same time, but the logic pretzels he twists in his attempt to be pragmatic while not offending his party shows why the two are incongruent. If you ever wondered what it would look like to see a fish try to swim up a waterfall, picture

Yes he is definitely a Republican. And a staunch Evangelical. He supports the repeal of the ACA and votes with Trump over 90% of the time on everything. He is generally terrible in everything else that matters and effects Black people disproportionately in this country. But he can acknowledge, as opposed to Candice

Wow Dean, an alleged racist was nice to you, a white boy?  What could it mean?

“neediest, moodiest and worst tipper” is EXACTLY what I would have imagined Kanye West to be.

Cole Sprouse’s instagram post should have been directly linked:

I think that’s part of what they’re apologizing for though? I mean, that was incredibly icky and tone deaf. I think it was probably all Blake Lively’s idea and he was like “sure, hon, whatever you want” based on what I’ve seen from both of them.

Wait, I thought it was Fergie’s banker beau post-Andrew who was the toe-sucker? Or is it just generally a British kink?

I would really like for the royal family to see “this guy might be a rapist” as more important than “this guy is embarrassing”.
