No kidding. I’ve seen quite a few people sell their $1.5M usd tiny-ass homes there and move here to Texas, buy a $300k home that’s 4 times the size and still have money to fuck around with.

I’m glad I live where the cost of living is low (for now), but I could definitely use some upward movement on the food chain.

Word is it’s going to become a self storage facility. NHRA said the new owners would be well-vetted before the purchase would go through to make sure it goes to somebody that would continue to run the track. We all saw that as bullshit as they’d take whatever money they could and run.
