Texas World Speedway was a Roval that has been demolished for housing development.  Anything out where I live is farmland and have to have some deep pockets to get something going.

Depends on what part of Texas. I have to drive 4-5 hours to get to the closest road course.  Meanwhile California is peppered with road courses.

If I had stupid money to piss away at stuff like this and had enough time in my own garage, I’d be too tempted to make it work and have AWD.

This is why at work we’ve moved over to TPMS sensors that also measure temperature. You can get advance notice that you’ve got a dragging brake, bad hub, or maybe a tire that’s getting too hot a lot sooner than your trailer burning down.

I haven’t had a chance to get my hands on a C8 yet for disassembly/reassembly, but they’re quite the car. You can tell it’s going to be a real performer once it gets more power.

It doesn’t help that they’d take American brands and products, have them on hand for a year or two then cancel any contracts after their Chinese factories had made a good enough copy to sell under their brand.

Coming from somebody that has been around a lot of high HP cars on E85 and other variations, I wanna know what it smells like in the pits with them running this stuff.

Holy hell, so 50 cars on a lease plus infrastructure with the people footing the $10M bill instead of them just reimbursing employees a few cents per mile for using their personal vehicles for official business or at least use a less expensive EV than a fucking lunchbox with a BMW badge slapped on it.

Telemetry is wild, a friend made a post about a GT3 car they were fielding was showing the wheelspeed on the right front was slowing down more than it would normally but only through certain corners. They brought it in fearing a wheel bearing/hub failure was imminent. Upon further inspection, the shock had actually…
