Yup. Last time I checked, Black creatives go out of their way to cast people of other races in their shit. When was the last time you saw a Black person in any Latino director’s movie? I can’t think of one.

One of the things that really, I just to laugh is, first she completely erases Black Latina’s. But like, Black Americans are the only ones casting Black Latina’s in their shit! Tatiana Ali, Dascha Polanco ( she’s been in a couple of those hood rom coms), Lala Anthony, Regan Gomez, tessa thompson b4 she was Tessa…
then she should fucking write her own damn screenplays and stop whining about black movies. sounds like she wants to ride the coattails of african-american accomplishments for free. this isn’t a zero sum game where one accomplishment erases another. she’s just frustrating.
This is... sadly... far too legitimate.
I think you’re too naive in forgetting that literally nothing is as important at Ohio State as winning football games, and this guy can help them win football games. They need him under contract slave labor restricted free agency indentured servitude before they can tell him not to speak.
I’m somewhat surprised that OSU didn’t try and put this kid into a “less political” t-shirt. Much as Columbus is fairly progressive compared to the rest of this State, OSU still tries to tread lightly with anything that they think might result in blowback.
You’re not trying to shutdown discussion, just asking questions to redirect the discussion towards irrelevant shit that doesn’t involved criticizing white institutions for their abuse of POC.
I don’t see why it should be included in this discussion. Since it’s a whole different subject. You know, outside of this discussion. You only hear about black-on-black crime when it’s used as a way to dilute the discussion about police violence. Other than that nobody seems to give a fuck.
Black people talk about crime within their own communities constantly. You don’t hear about it because it’s a problem that doesn’t effect or involve you, and that you only care about when you need a false equivalency to shutdown discussions about police brutality and racism.
I just realized that I have to apologize. Profusely. I was, for anyone not aware, trying to make a joke about the intensity of the rivalry between the university or michigan and Ohio state. but making fun in this context was beyond inappropriate. I wasnt thinking and now that i have, it was a pretty gross thing to…
Go see it in a theater. We went yesterday and it was amazing to experience it with a crowd. Applause, cheers, singing along... it was the first time I’d actually seen the movie, and it is awful in a lot of ways but damn if it doesn’t transcend all reason to be a great film.
All of this is just gross. Like, if Jay Z wants to cheat, fine. If Beyoncé wants to write a passive aggressive lyric about that, fine. If Rachel wants to brag about it on Instagram, fine. I. Don’t. Give. A. Fuck.
the best thing about this job is getting to work at least the first hour or so from home in sweatpants w dog
I don’t like my body and generally when I try on close that should be my size but don’t fit, I blame myself so the fact that such a teeny person has to go a size up in stupid Beyoncé work out clothes from Topshop bums me out on behalf of the entire female race - the curvy, the petite and every one else in between.…
I would like to announce I had no idea there are shirts for dogs who are afeared of lightening.

Chris Rock summed up the black experience in the United States kind of perfectly during his HBO special Never Scared…
