While I agree with some of the sentiment, something almost everyone seems to overlook when bemoaning “new” playgrounds vs old pea-gravel-covered/etc ones is this: accessibility. Good luck if you’re a disabled kid trying to even reach the “adventure equipment” when it’s surrounding by wheel-swallowing gravel. Good luck…
