It’s definitely a challenge to find them, though thankfully accessible design is (very slowly) starting to catch on with new playgrounds. Currently though (in my experience thus far) you’re lucky to find one, maybe two in a city, and then it’s often due to private funding or advocacy instead of the government

While I agree with some of the sentiment, something almost everyone seems to overlook when bemoaning “new” playgrounds vs old pea-gravel-covered/etc ones is this: accessibility. Good luck if you’re a disabled kid trying to even reach the “adventure equipment” when it’s surrounding by wheel-swallowing gravel. Good luck
