Well, Hertzfeld has won in the past (for Rejected way back in 2000). But the composition of the voters has likely changed since then.

One of my local theaters shows all the nominated shorts in a row every year, which is always fun. Bear Story was really good, too – the animation was superb and very original. World of Tomorrow was on another level, but I guess understand that it was too weird/experimental for most.

I have that problem with Clooney. He's good at what he does, but I don't think I've ever seen him really disappear into a role. DiCaprio I think is a little more versatile, if only because he looks/sounds slightly different in different roles (compare Gatsby to The Departed, for example).

Even the movie ran out of steam after the first hour or so, at least to me.

Rent getting too high? Release some Raticates!

You're right that the guys you mentioned dominate the pop charts, but gangsta rap (or whatever you want to call it) is definitely still alive and kicking, too. Young Thug, Migos, A$AP Ferg (a total poseur but he's so fun it doesn't matter), etc. And then there are guys like Vince Staples and YG that walk the line

My college had many frats, and your stereotypes are probably pretty accurate.

I look at it the opposite way. Macklemore's problem isn't that he's phony – it's that he's completely sincere, and that sincerity drowns out any motivation to make an artistically interesting song.

In last week's split-screen-bathroom cold open, there's a quick shot of Ilana looking at a pregnancy test with a shocked/disgusted look, so a lot of people (including me) assumed it was a reference to that.

Right… 18 years…

I have two friends with a somewhat similar dynamic, and we call one the "gas" and the other the "brake."

No way, those cat-calling punks deserved to be schooled! Though puncturing the ball at the end was definitely too mcuh

Wow, not sure how I missed that reference. Seems so obvious once you point it out!

Yep, they're actually dressed in baseball caps etc. right before that shot

So, anyone want to guess at who (or what) is behind the conspiracy? Someone we've seen already? Someone from Dean Sr.'s past? Jason Alexander's character, trying to ruin the firm so that Dean is free for TV again?

As a one-time supermarket cashier, that line was pure gold to me

Man, I just could not get into this show. Not sure how it even managed a "B."

That wasn't his first product, though it is a well-known one. And decry it if you will, but high-fashion brands charge that much for a plain t-shirt all the time.

Wow, that's awesome. I finished my first one recently, and trying to get it produced is taking up a lot of my time. So far I have a local indie theater that is interested in hosting a live table read to try to drum up interest from larger companies. This probably isn't the best forum, but any advice for an aspiring
