Shit, you're right. Shows what I (don't) know!

They did have sex, though, just not at first. When they go to bed (the second time, not the nap) Aziz has a quick line like "no condom issues this time!"

In Ansari's reddit AMA he mentions that the commercial actor thing is based on Rob Huebel's days doing national campaigns, which apparently was quite lucrative (for a while anyway).

Yeah, I noticed that none of them sounded quite the same, though I couldn't have pointed out which region each of them hailed from or anything.

Don't forget the veteran with PTSD… And the feuding rappers could be a wild card, too.

I mean, I have a sense of Manchester in that way, but mainly from watching Peaky Blinders.

I feel like this episode might have worked better as a two-parter, or some other construction that would have given the family stuff more room to breathe. There were some great and very funny scenes, but it felt like a shotgun blast of British craziness. The resolution of sorts with Jimmy's father wasn't that

Yeah, I think that scene was as much about the TV exec's tone-deafness to Dev's concerns as much as it was the terrible-sounding Perfect Strangers reboot. Plus the humorous reversal of Ravi refusing to do an accent.

I don't think Dev is meant to be a paragon of virtue. (Have you seen the adultery episode?) He has his principles but is not against compromising them, just like most people.

It doesn't look like it, although this show is a little different in that the co-creators wrote every episode (except for one where they share credit).

Busta Rhymes was a treat. Between this and learning that he's apparently a huge fan of Hamilton I'm really appreciating Busta lately.

I really like this idea. As an amateur writer myself, it definitely helps to take a step back and ask why a particular character is written/cast as a certain race or gender. That little bit of self-reflection goes a long way. I have, to my chagrin, at times found myself defaulting to "straight white male" when that

Yep – and also the conflation of Indian (i.e. South Asian) and Indian (i.e. Native Americans), even among an organization dedicated to the former!

Well, the lyrics do mention that he's a tailor.

"Adults will say if Trump is so worried about looking foolish then why did he go on a clown show in the first place?"

He really was one of the earliest supporters in Congress of ARPAnet and similar technologies, though.

They never made any references to crime, though. They talked about the Gerharts' "trucking concern." And used euphemisms like "acquire" and "liquidate." Obviously, we all know what they're talking about, and no actual crime syndicate would do such a thing. But they did take a certain level of care.

Dude, what? "Get Schwifty" is amazing.

Haven't listened to the new album yet, but looking forward to it. When I saw these guys live it was one of the most insane shows I've ever been to.
