I'll say that I liked the second episode much more than the first. There are still some rough edges to smooth out, but the main character is far less grating (even likeable toward the end) and the rest of the cast is getting fleshed out better.

Because it's good rock music.

I don't think ignorant is derogatory. In fact, a lot of people see it as better or more "real" hip-hop than "backpack" rap like Atmosphere. I think Mande was just saying that rap doesn't have to have incredibly deep lyrics to be enjoyable, so Macklemore's faux-deep lyrics stand out as especially bad.

Alternately, they could have her to go Chicago and then finish the series with her return to Pawnee. Somewhat similar to Ben and his time in DC (only more depressing).

Mine was in our high school gym.

Tom's whiteboard had fucking "Shabba" by A$AP Ferg on it. I think the problem is that his music is too cool for a bunch of midwestern suburbanites, not that he's out of touch.

I'm with you. Ron trying to steer Allison toward a paid job might have made an interesting dilemma if the job he had in mind weren't such an absurdly bad fit. Like, it's not hard to find a shitty summer job if you don't care where it is or what you'd be doing. The hard part is getting paid to do something you like —

Are we not doing phrasing?

Plus, Jim and Pam were genuinely friends for a while. Jim had feelings for her, but he never pressured her or made her feel uncomfortable.

On top of that he wrote dozens of books himself!

The real question is: what happened to Mitch (the Naked Man)?

Having just finished *The Bully Pulpit*, this episode was as awesome as… the fact that Teddy Roosevelt was shot in the chest right before a speech and still delivered the speech.

I like to think he has no formal training and is just a Charlie Kelly-esque savant

They definitely did, when she told Boyle he had really good handwriting I thought there was going to be more flirtation there.

I've played a bunch of Pokémon games and still had no idea what the hell was going on.

I loved Ted's wannabe-Poirot routine, and the Captain is always a welcome addition, but everything else fell pretty flat for me. Tracey Ullman's fear-of-flying bit was rote and unfunny, Marshall's freakout made very little sense, and once again Barney is a jerk and Robin's entirely reasonable doubts about marrying him

What's worse is that it betrays a complete misunderstanding of the character. It's been noted multiple times (by Jim O'Heir on Comedy Bang Bang just last week, for example) that Jerry's character wasn't fleshed out until the second season episode where the Parks department digs up dirt on each other, leading to the
