Didn’t this game come out like 2 days ago? And they are already dropping paid DLC? I mean I know this is standard practice nowadays but come on, at least pretend to have some dignity and decorum with your business model.

I say shovelware is a game that’s been hurried out without any reasonable development cycle or regard for quality of any sort. So Unity definitely counts, but not Syndicate. I have no love whatsoever for Assassins Creed but Syndicate is at least a proper game.
Wow those are interesting statistics, thanks for that!
Of course, but there are many damning game reviews on youtube where the reviewer has not actually thrown money down. I mean I actually cannot think of a single person other than Jim Sterling who would purchase the piece of shit posted above. They can’t have made much money off the game aside from him buying it. But…
It amuses me greatly the amount of shovelware developers who get aggressive towards Jim Sterling negatively covering their shit games. At the end of the day, he is actually giving them money so they really, REALLY shouldn’t be complaining about him.
It’s also a male first name (albeit not a popular one). I live in the UK so when I see #gaylord it makes me chuckle immaturely.
Looks awesome! Suitably apocalyptic for the final content of the trilogy. Lots of interesting lore hinted at in the trailer, too.
Does the word gaylord have the same negative connotations in America as it does here in the UK?
I would honestly say the graphics are a little bit nicer than Wind Waker (in terms of being colourful and charming). As a JRPG it is my favourite, although I would say the story isn’t quite as good as Chrono Trigger, FF6, FF7 or Suikoden 2. But the way that the story is told is completely unequaled by any JRPG. The…
Oh man, make sure you finish it this time! One of the all time greats, and runs beautifully on 3DS (and has a wealth of new content).
You are in for a treat with DQ, seriously. I think it’s in many ways the definitive JRPG experience. Beautiful and charming, and the graphics are possibly even more timeless than Wind Waker. Like all chunky JRPGs, give it several hours to get going and you will be hooked. It’s a game you’ll never forget.
Everything I’ve got on the go has been put on hold, so I can get a serious session in on Dragon Quest VIII for 3DS. It’s my favorite JRPG of all time and I’ve been starving myself of it for a few years so I can go in fresh once again. So far the game runs amazingly well, the best looking 3DS game I’ve seen and a…
While I already own Cave Story on PC, 3DS and Wii, I would totally buy it again on Switch if I bought a Switch.
More games should employ proper rotoscoping, it gives an incredible quality to the animation. The Last Express is one example where it genuinely adds to the experience.
Cadaver.
But what happens when the USA does all that stuff, is that they get away with it. You aren’t so much ‘taking one for the greater good’ as ‘wrecking your own society and by proxy large swathes of the rest of the world’. Easy to undermine your horrible politics but it still happens.
Oh it totally gives you carpal tunnel. I got it bundled in with DQ8 back in 2005, and I remember it only being suitable for that game, because there isn’t a single thing in DQ8 that’s timed, you can drop the controller at any time to safely rest your fingers for a while.
Don’t forget the Dragon Quest VIII Slime PS2 controller - which I actually own even though it’s ugly and uncomfortable as hell.
I absolutely hate clueless gamer and I don’t think it serves any purpose. Things like that only work if they are properly funny, rather than properly unfunny AND offensive AND tedious. The way he constantly looks at the camera after saying something lame. Urgh
Good points, for a man.
