Here in Chicago, the public library has Zinio, which allows you to read most consumer magazines for free on any mobile device. This is how I read the New Yorker. It’s amazing and a HUGE money saver.

I won’t be doing this, as I also have few subscriptions, but sort of related: I’m not upgrading my phone this year. It’s paid off, and I look forward to saving the $25/m I had been spending on it.
