Rasterbator isn't an online-only service. You can also download the stand-alone software which is free and has more features than the web app.

I use a program called Tether (formerly TetherBerry) to tether my BB Pearl on Verizon and, along with the name change, they also just released a Android beta of they're software that you can sign up for free.

@klew: Thats not really an accurate comparison because a smartphone is capable of things that a cellphone typically is not, whereas the nexus one doesn't really have anything that sets it apart from the pack other than higher specs and a glossier OS.
