I asked this yesterday never got a response from anyone. But I really would really like to know why Tennessee calling both their Men's and Women's sports teams by the same name is a big deal to anyone.

Just because the NBA is not as popular as the NFL doesn't mean there is anything wrong with NBA. The season might be too long, but dropping 32 games is way too many. The number of teams in the playoffs is fine, I just think they should be 5 game playoff for the first 2 rounds.

Also I should state that I live in Memphis, Tennessee and as a tax paying resident I could more than likely get you this information.

I am not trying to be a dick, I am genuinely curious why this would matter at all to anybody. Tennessee's athletic department and team names are going to be the same for all sports. Isn't that the way it is for 99% of the colleges in the country already? That's the way it is at Auburn(my alma mater).
