I _wanted_ a compact the last two times I had to rent. I wound up with a Charger and a Mustang.

I’m going to make a minimal effort suggestion. You take this car, it looks safari’d from the manufacturer. And you can find a LOT more of them than AMC Eagles. It’s drivable, it’s got most safety features, and if you feel like it, you can bolt on a LOT of performance - and even some more style.
