I’m skeptical but not because it stars women. It just looks kind of dumb and uninspired. I like the idea of a pseudo sequel but I’m not optimistic about this one. Plus Winston Zedmore’s character in the original had a PhD. In this movie the black actress is a parking lot attendant. Why would they do this?

I wanted to like it, but I haven’t so much as chuckled at a single bit of footage yet. Usually they toss out a few “great” moments from the film in order to hype it up in the trailers, but if these scenes and jokes are the cream of the crop, there is going to be trouble. And I say this as someone that thought

Hating a movie that stars women =/= hating women, especially if it’s a terrible Paul Feig film. This bandwagon SJW nonsense is getting ridiculous.

Its the way they went about making it. If you make a sequel with some loose connection to the originals, they wouldn’t be getting half as much hate as they are getting now (still getting hate cause it looks bad..) but the fact that you go out of the way to make it a remake that is almost an excact copy of the original

“solid comedic actresses”

You only think its misogynistic because you want it to be. Its hated on because it looks like a crappy, unnecessary reboot. Youre inserting your own bias into your perception of other peoples statements to give them the motivation YOU want.

The hate leveled against it on this website has been solely because it looks awful. It’s got nothing to do with the women cast.
