"Security" isn't an issue with a DDoS attack. It's not like breaking into someone's home, it's like parking your car in front of their driveway. The only thing you can do is have it towed away, but that won't stop them from parking another car there. All the while you keep having to pay to tow that shit.

it's also true that the speed of recovery is much faster for the ones that have invested resources into preparing for attacks like this.

If what LizardSquad said is true about the size of the attack, then frankly no amount of extra spending would have protected Sony anyway.

Exactly. If they want to do something that is meaningful why not attack something that is actually bad, and corrupt. Instead of fucking video game companies, it literally achieves nothing. Anonymous did better than this, come on.

You know what else would stop attacks like this? People not being dicks. Or said dicks finding something else better to do with their time.

This is like someone breaking into an art gallery and then, when ordinary people can't go to the gallery for 2 months because it's being repaired, claiming they just did it "to show that the owners should invest in some better security".

It would be really cool if Game Freak actually adopted Nuzlock mode and make it into their own thing. I could see them renaming it "hard mode" or "challenge mode." It would add more value to the game, and make it easier to keep track of the rules.

so? it's still a Yakuza game. buy it and maybe Yakuza Zero will get a US release too.

I don't understand sony sometimes. If they made a bunch of cool designs and sold them everywhere and not just their store people would probably buy up these face plates.

I would buy the plate and put it on my ps4.

I own a PS3 I use often enough, but I game primarily on PC.

Probably because it is a game that was, first and foremost, not designed with keyboard and mouse in mind. I reckon that people who predominantly play those kind of games can be found on consoles. Just because PC has the most graphical possibilities, doesn't mean that all types of games are automatically present on PC,

Making a poor port is entirely on the content creator.

As good as Dark Souls looks at 60 fps, this proves that PC elitist are a bunch of cry babies. Dark Souls doesn't look that bad if you're used to it on PS3. Just be glad you were getting the damn game. Also, how is this a "dark day for PC players of Dark Souls"? It doesn't affect those that already have it. And there's

I do hope someone at Bandai Namco finds their brain before this kicks through - cause its gonna cause some serious harm if they close this down.

It is a little immersion breaking but I'll take that over them constantly screwing up my stealth which happens A LOT in other games and is frustrating. Better to cause mild immersion breaking than irritate the player constantly (something covered in the documentary for the last of us).

I'll never understand why people still cling onto the "enemies don't notice allied NPC's" argument. Doing that would have made a good game irredeemably frustrating to play.
