Graphics aren't everything, but they are important. Saying graphics aren't important, and that we should only appreciate a game for how it plays rather than how it looks, is hugely disrespectful to the artists, engineers and world designers that pour so much of their heart, soul, and imagination into making a game

I mean, it doesn't matter if she's not playable. One assumes if she's a female assassin, they'll have to animate her assassinating some fools... right? So unless she's new, then their earlier statement would make no sense. Unless it's a story-cutscene-only thing, and she doesn't come with on missions.

But when you back a project there is no way to know how incompetent the people can be. It can be some serious amount of money we put in random people's hands with no guarantee at all. Everyone who sends money to a project should do so with the though that the money can vanish and the project can fail. It shouldn't be

This isn't a Kickstarter-centric problem. This is a poorly-written contract problem.

I actually think the robotfilter is amazing

"The game also looks worse than much of last-gen and runs at sub-30 FPS on the PS4".

Ahahaha, "worse than last-gen" That statement is objectively false.

This is the risk and reward thing with kickstarter when I back something I know I'm risking my money on getting something. But when I back something I don't usually back games with a crap ton of my money I only do the minimum for the game which is usually like $15-20 which in hinesight is not godawful to lose.

I'm happier that "procedurally generated" did not show up in that description

There are some spoilers in terms of what happened in the books in the post. The theory itself is a hypothetical spoiler. But more importantly, I want to just want to give spoiler purists every opportunity to back out.

Either way it boils down to an artistic choice. If they wanted to nerf the graphics and get 60fps, they would have done that. No one was forcing their hand one way or the other. They chose to go with a lower framerate and more expensive rendering, to achieve the look they wanted.

Hrm.

1. Movies are still shot in 24fps

How is it "giving in to corporate bullshit shilling" to give his personal impressions of the game from his own playtesting? If Evan played the game and felt like the framing and framerate of the game didn't feel right, he would have said so.

The more I think about it, the more I think it would actually be BAD to wish someone who's just been falsely accused of rape to talk about consent. I mean, dude's shaken, right? He believes, right now, this accusation has ruined his life (see the "it's gonna haunt me forever").

The way I'm reading it (And I fully admit this could be me just blinded by, again, the disgust I'm feeling at the implications in this article) the only questions being raised here are: Why didn't you allow yourself to become a martyr for the feminist cause? Why didn't you just passively take the blame so that you

The more I think about it, I think most of this article's complaints stem from how poorly Temkin attempted to deflect blame from the victim. I think a lot of us are misinterpreting Temkin's intent, so we're saying "blah blah, Temkin's still a bad person," because he submits two opposing idea. On one hand, "no rape."

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much for putting this so much more eloquently than the levels of utter and abject disgust I'm feeling after reading this article would have ever allowed me to.
