The other thing on my mind is heat. I’m not super comfortable with the 80-90 degrees that the super high end cards run at and I’m a little disappointed that the RX480 runs at the the same temps. I hope the AIB cards push that average load temp down, because my 7870 gets to about 70 degrees at most. But that would be

The 480 should be roughly 1400-1500 range with aibs on clocks. So that is like 10-15% at most oc.

I honestly wonder if AMD cards are bad overclockers, not because they are badly designed, but because AMD knows what the silicon is capable of and they push it to the bitter edge and then back off a bit. The reason people get crappy small OCs on AMD gpus could simply be because AMD ships with a more generous stock

Yes, but that was for a top tier no compromises card. The GTX 1080 gets to push the envelope as far as possible, because there’s nothing above it that it has to be “a step down” from. They made bold claims and delivered them, because they had no reason not too. No limits.

“Power comparable to a GTX 980" is something we’ve heard before from AMD and that claim fell flat on it’s face. The RX480 is firmly a 970 competitor. I’ll be interested to see if NVidia isn’t just blowing smoke, but given that they have a physically larger 16nm fab, which means a larger chip I’m not holding my breath.

I think any game that bills itself as challenging, or for ‘hard-core’ players, should have near instant death/restart times.

Try... try cream cheese...

This does suck... it’s like the Mass Effect 1 running cam... it jitters with every tiny bump in the terrain. But I love Mass Effect anyway.

That’s not really what I meant when I said “it” was built for kids. I meant the DS, the physical ergonomics of it were meant for kids hands. I actually don’t think MP:H was all that dumbed down and it did actually bring something new to the franchise. It still had the exploration and puzzles, but it also had opposing

I feel like in a lot of ways The Witcher 3 already is a noir version of The Witcher. I mean really, it’s easily the single best detective game that I have ever played, Geralt is a loan wolf for most of it, and there are numerous sexy influential women. Sounds pretty noir to me.

Shia Labeouf would watch the whole thing as performance art.

Sure it was a damn powerful card for it’s time, but with the new generation of cards trickling out over the next few months, it’s really not the star it once was. It originally launched at about $600 and now AMD has a card that can match it for $200. So if you consider it against that new price/performance it’s really

I love the little touch at the beginning where he smashes his face into the ground. It was a clever way to create a differentiation so that we always know which one is Adam. Not only is this technically impressive, it’s pretty directorally well done too.

My personal childhood sandbox was Game Maker 6.1 - 8. They taught me to program (badly) and then I went to school and became a programmer.

From the article:

I first saw this thing when Totilo live streamed the Zelda line-up. Coolest thing in the whole stream.

That sounds more accurate. I think it was probably a different kickstarter game that I’m thinking of. The project phoenix one.

Even sillier, wasn’t it originally started out in Unity? So they had to actually choose to switch engines, which means at some point they threw a bunch of work away, which likely lead to the delays.

PC also doesn’t have some restrictions like Consoles do. Consoles read input and output functions within the game. This reads input and outputs emulated inputs which the game outputs as functions. This extra layer adds a bunch of functionality for scripting and macroing, because it runs “above” the game.
