You are not browsing in stealth mode using a browser unless you do some very tricky configurations.

@Sander: WebDAV is great as a standard file server, but I doubt that the WebDAV "repository" extension will ever be popular as the specification is flawed. That is probably why it is hard to find any information on this as no one manages to properly use the specification for practical use.

You can use BarracudaDrive if you are willing to pay for a product. BarracudaDrive is a web-server with a number of plugins that extends its functionality beyond normal web-server use.
