I would argue that a Viper is a pretty non-asshole sports car. Whenever I see a Viper on the road (unfortunately not that often) I automatically respect them and think they are cool.

This is a great idea. The only issue that I see is when you're in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Other drivers will always be a few feet behind you and it would get annoying and distracting after awhile. I would argue that the system would have to be deactivated at speeds below 10 mph or so.
