Sorry I took so long to respond, I have actual responsibilities rather that submitting to trolls (or the willfully ignorant, as the case may be).

The “mining” for battery “ingredients” is virtually non impacting compared to strip mining for coal or even diamonds. We already mine for copper (which can easily be recycled), and lithium is a salt, which is collected in pools just like sea salt.
