Surprise surprise, the party of “anti-cancelling” is trying to cancel things again.

Yeah, I agree that it seems highly plausible that a Texas politician is lying to push racism. But the alternative doesn’t seem too farfetched to me, that a young child growing up in a deeply racist household (because Texas) was “traumatized” by school materials that didn’t match what their parents said.

Well, or the child was traumatized by their parent’s insane ranting freakout, over them seeing the poster.

It makes perfect sense that the child was traumatized by an image of an interracial couple (that is, if you assume the child has racist parents). 

My thoughts exactly.  God fucking knows what sort of shite that child’s exposed to every day.

Let’s be honest, the parent found out about the poster and was traumatized, the kid never was.

Let’s assume for a second the first grader was really traumatized. Holy cow that kid must be having some kind of home experience to learn this. 

Sounds like they told their truth - and needed to. Though they do seem to have picked up one of their fathers bad habits - racial supremacy. Black, white, brown, magenta with teal stripes - racial supremacy is a stupid idea. Just look at white supremacy. It’s not going to magically get improved just because the words…

my old man is a piece of shit and i don’t talk to him. i don’t plan to go his funeral. when he’s dead, the trauma and abuse he inflicted still exists. fuck the “right time.” 

An extended family member of mine had given a similar “final word” about his pedo, bio dad.

If he’s been on death row for 40 years, the people who might have lied to convict him are likely long retired.

If there is DNA and/or fingerprints, TEST THEM. Not hard folks. 

I don’t understand why Democrats don’t focus on this more often: being “tough on crime” by refusing to revisit convictions can only lead to murderers getting away free. If they truly want to be “tough” on whomever perpetrated this murder, they would make for damn sure they got the right guy.

There’s another term you could be looking for to replace that racist Rethuglican mob: A Lynch Mob. They don’t care who they hang, so long as they hang someone.
