Yeah, one main theme or "tension" from Breaking Bad was how much was Walter breaking against his nature versus just revealing something bad in his makeup. If Walter was "good" he should have been happy with millions in the bank and no health worries.

Yep, not Ozymandias levels but near the other highs. I knew something was coming; I knew there was going to be a payoff and it was still thrilling. They are masters.

OK. Fair enough. Maybe my problem then is they are using her like an asset. Do they not remember what happens to most of their assets? It just creeps me out. I don't dislike the show for it and maybe it was the only direction the show could go; I just would have preferred a different path.

I feel uncomfortable with the way the daughter knowing has been worked into the show. It really doesn't make logical sense. Basically, the parents were brainwashed and trained over many, many years in awful ways to become the harden spys they are. That isn't going to happen with Paige so how anyone thinks she

I know they were just telling a "story" and it can't include everything but one thing that didn't ring true is they just totally ignored a career like Engineering where being able to figure out how to fix things is important. Also, a kid being good at that kind of stuff or having those kind of interest is great for

You do know that Lindsey is extremely stupid and an awful person. Showing her having no qualms about abortion is in fact a pretty good criticism of abortion. Most of the people that have them are unthinking and uncaring.

To start with I assumed it was a young people thing until they stated it was a black people thing. I assume anyone under 35, black or white, doesn't know who Steve McQueen is. I also wondered if they picked Steve McQueen because that is also the name of the director of 12 Years a Slave. Don't know if they were

My one worry about the show is they are going for the political trope before the funny. Do funny and what you know, don't force the other stuff. That line about women's pay was forced as you said. With the tip thing, I thought they were trying to criticize the black people don't tip stereotype. It is probably a

It sure looked like California to me and not Atlanta.

Yeah, that didn't seem very realistic: Van knows Earn doesn't have a lot of money and Van seems like the most level headed and put together person on the show. I understand paying a little more for parking but going for the market price entree was a little over the top. It was still funny and worked for what they

Blacks aren't a majority in the Metro area but it is a higher % than any major US city. Memphis is only place close and Atlanta is much bigger overall. More blacks in Atlanta metro than any city other than NYC. Much of the black population is now in the burbs like where Glover grew up in Stone Mountain but this show

1) From a thematic point of view, the entire prison plot line was superfluous and didn't really fit with any of the rest of the show.
2) From a plot hole POV: I don't think they allow guys on trial to be put into a prison like Rikers nor in general pop.

Good points. I thought Ruby's first line reading as Mama Evans was spot on and was like Oh, this is going to be good; then like you said, they decided to throw that away and just play Ruby.

Yeah, didn't like this episode. Showed my daughter a 30 sec clip of Jimmy Walker from the original show and we all laughed more at that clip than from this entire episode. Too much of the Good Times stuff was too on the nose: obvious jokes that didn't have any bite. The non-Good Times parts had a few laughs.

Lighten up Francis.

Had to be written by a Yellow Jacket fan. THWG

Laughed hard and out loud at that.

"Another random Coen reference: while fleeing, Ed and Peggy wave down a driver who Hanzee immediately shoots. It’s a bit like what happens when Ed is running from Chigurh in No Country For Old Men."

My issue with the ended was a few things. Basically, it could have all been solved by ending when Ava went outside; leave everything else up to imagination. The movie was a really smart movie until the end. So to detail my issues or questions or plot holes: 1) Caleb wasn't likely to die. Nathan had to have a food

I thought that Ava setup with Kyoko how the fight would play out. So she planned or expected Nathan to get an advantage (ie on top of her) and Ava told Kyoko that is when she should attack; while Nathan was distracted and vulnerable.
