Well for one, he has a tendency to rush into situations without thinking which almost gets him killed numerous times. That is a flaw if I ever saw one. Charging across the battlefield with a Sword when everyone is using the equivalent of RPG's and Grenades isn't exactly the smartest thing to do in the world.

Yeah, though he ditches most of the philosophy that doesn't work and just takes the bits of Ayn Rand that somewhat makes sense and just seems to mix it with whatever personal philosophy he does have.

To be fair, most villains have straw-man arguements for why they do things, otherwise - ya know, we be rooting for them.

Communism and Religion, but yeah. And though, yeah he is a Mary sue. Though I admit I never really saw him as a preachy Mary Sue since he certainly had flaws. And indeed, guilty pleasure, since alot of people don't like the series.

I'm not even surprised to hear that.

Right... not sure how much seriousness I should denote.

The 20 he slaughtered in Stone of Tears (Book two) I believe, and they did eventually reappear in the novel when the towers were destroyed to reclaim their land or whatever. Mostly because he had to learn how to access the skills of the past swords men that had

Ah I see. Yeah that's understandable. When I first read them, I had to actually wait for them to be published, so I read tons of other things in between.

Yeah, Book 6 is like, where things really start to kick off and it's provides a ton of food for thought. I wouldn't reccomend straight reading them either. My friend that I'm currently loaning out the first books too, I told her not to read it straight thru in one sitting. I personally think these are the type of

well they do kindof follow the same type of formula, just slightly different events each time. Though my favorite was book 6 (Faith of the Fallen).

castle laughing = me and not caring.

Other people eye-rolling - those who hate nickelback.

Though I meant it in a funny way.

I totally agree, worse people out there. Not everyone is going to like everything. we all have our differences. :)

well it wasn't a reboot novel I can tell you that much. As for your feelings, well those are your feelings about it of course.

I doubt many people are in agreement to be honest. It's the cool thing to hate. Just like Twilight, Justin Beiber, republicans etc, which frankly, those that I just listed, I do actually hate for example.

That's unfortunate, Faith of the Fallen (Book 6) was perhaps my favorite out of the novel. Though mostly because the entire book is about blind faith without questioning and how that's a dumb way to live life. I happened to be around the age when I was rebelling against the parents and their religion thumping. Also

Faith of the Fallen was my favorite book out of the series. At least you got through that horror of a novel when he wasn't the main protag. Though I didn't see him as falling into the Sue category too much since he honestly didn't know what the hell he was doing. Sad that you dropped it after Chain-fire. The answer

Book Series. I hated the TV show to be honest. The book series however, was quite good.

Agreed, though I meant it as mostly a satirical post. My reason answer would be Sword of Truth since that's in line with the question asked. The hatred for it is stupid and idiotic. You can pretty much Mad Lib any argument for it and apply to some other band.

Couldn't resist. Though yeah - your right.

best scene ever.
