Let me echo what sunshineaya said. The water from Flint River is corrosive. The Flint Water Treatment Plant (FWTP) was obviously treating the water before it was being sent to the public, but how they treated it was a problem as well as how corrosive the water was. FWTP was treating the water for bacteria and organic

Though, this is true of most water sources. That’s not really hard to treat and wasn’t really even a contributing factor in all of this.
